Meet Ryan and Megan Wellott
Wellott Electric is owned and operated by Ryan and Megan Wellott, who started the company on the belief that a North Texas family should never feel talked down to by the electrician working in their home. Ryan is a licensed master electrician. He runs the field side of the business, oversees every job estimate, and personally trains every electrician on the team. Megan runs operations, scheduling, and customer experience. The two of them built the 30-minute call or text ahead.

Every Wellott Electric job follows the same pricing pattern, whether it’s a single ceiling fan or wiring a custom new-construction home.
- Estimate visit: For new installations (panel upgrade, EV charger, generator), the estimate visit is no charge. For troubleshooting and repair, we schedule an on-site evaluation before recommending any work.
- Written estimate after inspection: Our electrician evaluates the job and provides a written estimate before any work begins.
- Flat, transparent pricing: We bill the job, not the hour. So a panel that takes us six hours costs the same as one that takes us eight. The risk lives with us, not with you.
- Permit and inspection fees included in major job estimates: Panel upgrades, EV chargers, and generator installs include the McKinney or other municipal permit and the final inspection.
